DESCRIPTION:Marquez Hall Hard Hat TourSaturday, May 19, 20128:30 a.m. &ndash; 11:00 a.m. Join us for a sneak peek of our newest campus building, named for lead donors, Tim '80 and Bernie Marquez, due to open this August.Marquez Hall will be the new home of Mines' Petroleum Engineering Department, and is the first building on campus to be funded entirely by donations. It also will be the first LEED-Certified Petroleum Engineering building in the country.  This state-of-the-art $25 million facility promises to further Mines' position as a global leader with a unique breadth of industry expertise.Come along with members of Mines' capital construction team and Petroleum Engineering Department Head, Dr. Ramona Graves, to learn what all the buzz is about on this informative, behind-the-scenes tour.    Agenda:8:30 a.m.       Meet at Coolbaugh House (17th &amp; Maple St.)                      Enjoy coffee/donuts and a brief orientation/overview of the project.                       You'll also pick up your hard hat here (required on the construction site).9:15 a.m.      Walk to Marquez Hall, just a few blocks away9:30 a.m.      Tour 11:00 a.m.    Anticipated conclusionImportant Notes:&bull; Please wear hard-soled shoes; no open-toe shoes allowed.&bull; Everyone on the tour must wear a hard hat (we will provide).To ensure a safe and enjoyable tour for everyone, participation will be limited to 25 people.
