DESCRIPTION:Thursday, July 26, 20128:30 a.m.            Meet at Henderson Mine entrance in Empire, Colo.9:00 a.m.            Tour begins 1:00&ndash;2:00 p.m.   Anticipated conclusion[[Registration Button]] [[Attendees List Button]]The Henderson Mine, North America&rsquo;s largest producer of primary molybdenum, is located in Clear Creek County on the east side of the Continental Divide, just 50 miles west of Denver. In operation since 1976 and owned by Freeport-McMoRan, Henderson has produced more than 239 million tons of ore and 1,079 million pounds of molybdenum. enjoy a vehicle tour of the mine, the nearby URAD mine and the water treatment facility. Some details:    Tour is limited to 24 people.     Steel-toed boots required. If you do not have steel-toed boots, the mine will supply them for you. Please indicate shoe size. Please also wear jeans.     All safety gear will be provided.     Guests are not permitted to wear contact lenses underground, so if you wear contact lenses, please wear regular glasses instead for the tour. The mine will supply safety shield attachments that go around prescription glasses.     You must be at least 17 years of age to participate.     All participants will be required to watch a 20-minute safety video at the start of the tour.                                 Directions:     I-70 West to exit 232 (Empire/Granby exit)     Highway 40 through Empire     Continue 9 miles west on Highway 40     You will see a green highway sign on the right side of the road that says &ldquo;Henderson Mine&rdquo; with an arrow pointing to the left, followed by an orange highway sign on the left side of the road that says &ldquo;Henderson Mine&rdquo;; turn here.     Stay on that road for approximately 2 miles.     You will come to the entrance to the mine (gate will be down).     Use the phone at the gate and call the Visitor Line.     Let the receptionist know you are here for the Colorado School of Mines tour.     Take a left after you go through the gate (you will go up a slight incline) and follow the signs to the main office building parking lot.     Continue west past the large parking area until you reach the smaller parking lot at the end of the building (this is the main office building) and go through the entry double doors.     Sign in the visitor log at the front desk and take a visitor badge.  RSVP by July 23 by clicking "Register" above.
